Part 3 of 3, the Danse Sacral. The “Chosen One“, here played by Beatriz Rodriguez, dances herself to death so that spring will return. Rodriguez was the first to dance this part as it was originally choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky to Igor Stravinsky’s masterpiece since 1913. This choreography was almost lost forever, but thanks to the efforts of Millicent Hodson and Robert Joffrey this history making, groundbreaking piece of work that stunned the world will continue to do just that.
