Bleeding Control: Capillary Bleeding

Capillary bleeding refers to superficial abrasion wounds. Treatment involves initial oozing control, cleaning, and after-treatment. First, you should dab off any excess blood. Second, clean with an aseptic solution such as hydrogen peroxide. Next, apply a triple antibiotic/aseptic ointment or solution such as iodine or alcohol. Finally, bandage the wound, being careful not to apply adhesive to any part of the abrasion. Video created by ProTrainings. Visit .
