For this commercial I created the object destruction effect and the particle system for the falling sand and debris.
Thinkinetic Pulldownit! for Maya was used to shatter the objects and for the rigid bodies simulation.
For the sand falling from the cracked objects, the emission rate was set to 3000000 particles per second.
