The Truth of Why Japan Fought Against Russia | The Ongoing Territorial Problems Today

Although you may not have such an image, Russia and Japan are neighbors that share borders, and the two countries even had a war at the beginning of the 20th century. I am from Hiroshima and have been taught about the horrors of war since I was a child. Because of this, I had a strong resistance towards talking about war in my channel. However the conflict between Russia and Ukraine made me realize that war is not a thing of the past, and that it can happen even today. As a Japanese citizen and a father of two daughters, I made the decision to make this video because I believe that I have a responsibility to learn more about the history of wars and what social conditions lead to them. So today, I will explain why Russia and Japan went into war in the past and why Japan just barely managed to win that battle. And finally, I would like to address the ongoing territorial dispute between Russia and Japan.
