Artist Talk: 2022-2023 AIR Breana Ferreira

In this opening presentation by AMOCA Artist in Residence Breana Ferreira, the artist shares about her practice, past work, and future directions. This talk, which was presented and recorded on October 11, 2022, marks the beginning of Ferreira’s 2022-2023 residency in the AMOCA Studios. Breana Ferreira (Fur-Air-Ra) is an emerging studio artist currently working with clay at the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona, CA as a long-term artist in residence. Ferreira was born and raised here in Southern California and received her BFA in Ceramics at the University of North Texas as a first-generation graduate. She has been actively engaged in the competitive Ceramics community achieving awards through the NCECA Skutt Student Competitions and recognition from organizations and exhibitions such as the Strictly Functional Pottery National Exhibition, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, and the Artstream Nomadic Gallery.
