It also appeared as the opening track of the U.S. version of their 1966 album ’Aftermath’. It was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, though Brian Jones contributed to the song’s signature sound. Band member and bass player Bill Wyman claims in his book that the song was a collective effort of the group, a ’Nanker-Phelge’, but mistakenly credited to Jagger/Richards at the end of the book. ’Paint It, Black’ reached number one in both the U.S. and the U.K. charts in that same year, 1966. In 2004 it was ranked number 174 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. ▶ Like & Subscribe ◀ Show Eric your support & get immediate notifications of Eric’s next video upload - Please leave a comment to let us know what you think of this performance. ▶ Follow Eric ◀ Facebook: Instagram: Visit Eric’s website: ▶ Live Performances ◀ Find out where and when Eric is next performing live - ▶ Classical guitar lessons ◀ Free lesson - Mastering arpeggios - Interpretation & Technique - ▶ Music Store ◀ Purchase music, scores, arrangements, live tickets & more direct from Eric via his website - ▶ Eric Henderson Biography ◀ Trained by the master of the classical guitar Andres Segovia, Eric Henderson is a guitar virtuoso and composer who covers a vast repertoire with technical mastery and passionate delivery.
