This is a 1983 Russian pop song by the group ’Zemlyane’ (Earthlings) which is probably known by all Russians! It was written by Anatoly Poperechny (lyrics) and Vladimir Migulya (music) and tells of astronauts in space longing for their homes and the green grass they have left behind. The song became so popular that in 2009 the Russian Federal Space Agency made it the official anthem of Russian cosmonauts!! Subtitles are for the benefit of non-Russian speakers, though the translation is very literal and not always the most poetic!!
