Isadora Duncan, Three Etudes of Alexander Scriabin, dancer-Catherine Gallant

Catherine Gallant of Dances by Isadora performs Three Etudes choreographed by Isadora Duncan in 1923. Music is by Russian visionary pianist/composer, Alexander Scriabin. These late works date from Duncan’s time spent in Soviet Russia. Spare, yet deeply felt , these works were completely modern in construction and laid the groundwork for the sculptural weightedness of the early moderns such as Ted Shawn, Martha Graham and Doris Humphrey.
