Vela Nautica goes Lithium part 1|| WE CHANGED TO LITHIUM! | SV VELA NAUTICA

In this episode of our cruising life we show you how we switched Vela Nautica to Lithium power and integrated a lithium batterie in the ships energie system. This giant change is part of the extensive refit we spend our Vela Nautica to get her ready for more adventures. The change to Lithium power is an archievement that improved the comfort, living on this boat, for 100%. We choose the thorny way and did not use the overpriced “drop in“ batteries, that are offered for boats. We build one huge batterie with 14.4 kWh controlled by an PowerBMS controller. This controller is accesible by WiFi and shows all batterie data and alarm systems.
