Research talk: Storing data for millennia

Long-term data storage that is sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective still eludes us. The most cost-effective storage technologies today are magnetic, and do not provide the media longevity and durability required to store humanity’s data long-term. Glass is the ideal media for such a technology, and in this talk, we’ll show you the world’s first glass-based storage system, designed and built from the ground up to answer humanity’s need for long-term data storage.
