Why being a kid was fun | Ella Dev Verma | TEDxKIET

Being from the LGBTQ community, Ella shares her experiences living amidst the dual standards of society regarding gender norms. She talks about the importance of the formative years for a person and mentions how insecurities are instilled in a person at a young age. She suggests that all of us should embrace our inner child, as it has the power to reject unhealthy adulting and infuse the journey of growing up with joy and fulfillment. The need for inclusivity, understanding, and compassion towards individuals with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities is well articulated in her talk. Ella D’ Verma is an Indian Content Creator, Trans-Model, and Influencer born on September 1, 2003, in the capital city of India, New Delhi. She has represented Delhi In “Miss Trans Queen“ and was recently crowned the first runner-up of Miss Transqueen India 23. Apart from being a model, she is a National Debate Champion and a voice for the trans community.
