What can’t Ai draw? | Ruimin Yelv | TEDxJinhaiLake

We originally thought that computers should be good at completing simple and repetitive tasks, but not competent for the highly creative artistic activity of “painting“. However, Ai painting suddenly became popular at the end of last year, and even won the championship of the painting competition, which caused strong opposition from artists. Ai painting is rapidly evolving and becoming seemingly omnipotent. “Will Ai replace artists?“ has become a hot topic. He tried to use his own works to compete with Ai works, and pointed out the defects of Ai painting. Yelv Ruimin is currently an associate professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Jiangnan University. Participated in the National Natural Science Foundation of China project “A New Method for Biochip Sample Spot Identification Based on Morphological Wavelet and Cellular Neural Network Algorithm“ and “Research on Animation Emotional Soundtrack Technology Based on Gene Expression Programming“, and presided over the Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund Project “Computing Research on Modeling and Creation Tools of Type Pigment”, presided over the development of Tipix, a painting application, with a cumulative user base of more than 3 million, and won the “Grand Prize of 2016 Apple Application Innovation Contest”. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
