Steve Smith - Seven Steps

I’ve gotten much inspiration and direction from listening to, and watching, Tony Williams play the drumset. This solo is a short improvised tribute to Tony’s playing in the 1960s. Using a method taught to me by Alan Dawson, I sang “Seven Steps To Heaven” to myself as I played this 1960s era Gretsch kit at Tim Northup’s Drum Museum in Oneonta, NY.
