What Is the Correct Type of Water to Use in A CO₂ Incubator? | Esco Scientific

Water provides humidity in a CO₂ Incubator. However, using the incorrect type of water can cause corrosion to the humidity pan and internal chamber of the unit. To maintain proper cell growth and operation of the CO2 Incubator, use sterile distilled water that has low resistivity and a pH between 7 and 9. Tap water, reverse osmosis, deionized, and Ultrapure (Type 1) water are aggressive and must be avoided to prevent corrosion of the CO2 incubator’s component. Remember these safety tips and work safely with your CO2 Incubator.
