Today we will discuss the Gryphon which appeared on flags of Tartary/Tartaria (as seen in the 1865 World Atlas section “The Flags of all Nations”), and how this Gryphon Motif can be seen throughout the numerous World’s Fairs of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
