Closing the distance and obtaining a grip of the opponent’s jacket (kurtka) may be quite an issue in Combat Sambo. Doing so, you always risk being caught with a counter strike. Kirill Sementsov suggests a few ways to quickly and effectively engage with your opponent and execute a throw with a minimum risk.
