How I write demos

My demos are . They contain MOSTLY melodies and not a lot of harmonic information. For this song, I wrote a vocal melody, a bass line and a guitar line. So, three melodies (which is a chord, let’s be honest). Most of the time though, I ONLY write a bass line and vocal melody, and then we go into the studio with the “demo” and figure out the chords on the spot. It makes it a more collaborative process when you haven’t figured everything out, and Jack always takes the song somewhere I hadn’t imagined.
