Surrealist Bass Solo with Artificial Harmonics

Here’s a fun composition I came up with on my new Cortex bass with artificial harmonics and some trippy delay. Love playing artificial harmonics, I position the fretted harmonic with the index finger while plucking with my thumb, any note can have all natural overtones this way, great fun on a solo, ending or to spice things up! I’m playing a Swiss Cortex bass, Napoleon Deluxe model with a walnut top, mahogany body, maple fingerboard and chocolate maple neck, amazing work by luthier Paul Lairat and Pierre Camilleri. It’s loaded with Nordstrand Dual Coil pickups and a Glockenklang preamp, strung up with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys. I used a Darkglass Hyper Luminal compressor, Rodenberg 707b booster, a Walrus Audio D1 Delay and a Boss DD5 for the freeze near the end. The signal was recorded with a Focusrite audio interface into Cubase, drums were made with Korg midi pads and Addictive Drums, mastering was done with Ozone 4. Working on lots more, thanks for watching! New EP Fretless Invaders out
