Alwyn’s Theme in Autumn: The same theme, but strings and harp. The strings give me the feeling of Autumn, and I want to listen to this piece whilst watching leaves fall from the oak tree in my back garden!
The Secrets of Autumn – Harp Variation: I wrote this piece last Autumn and oh how I love it! It was written in the key to the colour Orange! (A minor) and I truly feel it embodies autumn, leaves falling and the beautiful melancholy it brings.
Flutter by - This song was written when the butterfly called itself to me one week. It has a story behind it... A butterfly kept following me around in my garden, and then within the woods... It LOVED me!! It’s safe to say, it guided me home. This piece uses the oriental scale, and such an airy fairy nature it can lift you into the clouds.
The Flower: I wrote this piece being inspired by the abundance of flowers in the wood. It has an airy-fairy nature to it, and that’s why I love it so!
Elven Lullaby: Do you ever feel a piece of music tug on your heart strings? Well, I wrote this piece to do exactly that!! It was one of those pieces that I heard in my mind before I wrote it down. I heard it one day within the woods and I had to sing it as a recording on my phone then and there, and then later on I sat down and wrote the whole piece in one setting.
The Butterfly: This piece was written and dedicated to my beloved Grandma who passed in August 2022. She was such a wonderful kindred spirit, who was so optimistic, playful and kind. Her spirit embodies a butterfly, and her gentle fluttering nature will forever live on in this piece.
Becoming Alwyn Oak: This piece is very meaningful to me. I made a fairy costume for the fairy festival last year, and when I put it on, I felt like I became my true self for the first time ever!! I had to write a song with how I felt afterwards, and I just HAD to make it a bit emotional hehe.
Gentle Stroll: Ever want a piece of music that makes you feel like you are in a video game in a forest… look no further!
The Mystery: I wrote this piece when I found mysterious fairy mounds within the woods… I needed a piece to capture what it felt like exploring the lands… mysterious yet mystical.
The Fairy Kingdom: to follow on from ‘The Mystery’ I wrote this piece when I found the Fairy Palace located within the fairy mounds. It felt overwhelming, and there is video footage of me feeling that way on my ‘DIY Book of shadows’ video. It felt wonderous, & the fairies were with me.
Autumn Equinox: An interlude that transports you into the second half of this video to more strings and piano – to pieces that truly can connect with your soul.
Alwyn’s theme Strings: Truly can’t get enough of listening to this piece. Heart-warming and an Autumn image is placed within my mind without any visual imagery here.
The Magic Potion: A piece of music I love to use when letting go of something, perhaps burning a piece of paper in a cauldron, or just thinking and letting go of that thought. It’s a powerful piece that has been written with will power in mind.
A Glimmer of Hope: This piece was inspired by a dark time. Sometimes when we are lost in the dark it may feel like there is no hope. But the truth is there is always hope, it is always there, even if it’s just a glimmer. I wrote this piece in late winter when the spring buds were starting to appear.
The Secrets of Autumn – Strings: This version comes from more of a heartfelt place with strings and piano. I hope you enjoy it!
52:39 Grateful: This piece was written last Mabon when I wanted to create a piece that embodied the feeling of bring grateful - a powerful tool to happiness. If you’d like to do a ritual to this piece, I highly recommend thinking of what you are grateful for and
simply listening to it. You won’t regret it – trust me.
