HIGH END INTEL RTX 4090 GAMING RIG USING ONLY 3 FANS VS USING 6. DO EXTRA FANS ALWAYS HELP?
Quick look at my most recent build and temps using just 3 fans and the comparing it to using 6.
Specs are:
Intel 12700k
Z690 formula
Asus Thor 1000w II
ASUS RTX 4090 TUF with Strix Bios
As I mentioned in the video, I am running a 100% work load on the cpu with kombuster, this level of cpu load is unlikely for a regular gaming rig (unless you really need to upgrade your rig). Using a worst case scenario to look at the difference of adding 3 more fans to the build at the bottom which is common among other users in similar style cases.
Additionally, this video is a reminder that if you are using AI OC, MCE, and loading your cpu long term, please consider using a voltage offset. In the video I am setting this up as your average DIYER will do with just XMP and nothing else. This also means accepting of defaults like AUTO on MCE in the bios.
