CREW x GLUE CLAN (STAS YARKO) STAS YARKO - artist and documentary photographer: “I devoted about ten years to the study of the metro. Initially, I penetrated the subway in order to draw drawings on the cars, but at some point I realized that in this whole process, drawing was not the most important thing for me. The metro world captured with its atmosphere and secrets. I was interested in just going to new places. Although the main part of the metro is the same tunnels in each stage (a segment of the tunnel from one station to another), there are always their own special locations hidden from the eyes of ordinary people. Ventilation shafts leading to the surface, tunnels connecting tunnels, dead ends where trains mostly stand at night, exit chambers. The greatest interest among all this was caused by various types of civil defense (civil defense) facilities, military communication centers, bomb shelters, laboratories and diesel substations where there are giant ship diesel engines that, in case of an emergency, will supply branches and other metro facilities with electricity.
