Scores of ships with USS Kearsarge show up in Stockholm during NATO’s military exercise

Around 40 ships, 70 planes and 7,000 personnel from sixteen nations are currently taking part in the Baltops military exercises in the Baltic Sea, which started on Sunday (June 5). Before the start of the exercises, scores of ships - among them the U.S. amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge - were in Stockholm for a pre-sail conference. As the ship left Stockholm on Sunday to join the exercise, scores of people lined the shore top wave the vessel off.
