Deirdra Kiely

Deirdra Kiely, a native of Touraneena, , Ireland has been dancing for over 20 years. Starting at the young age of seven, it was under the tuition of Michael Ryan that led Deirdra to capture multiple titles. This included winning Munster Championships and Great Britain Championships and placing runner up at All-Ireland, North American and World Championships. Following such success, Deirdra went on to perform as leading lady in shows such as Ragus, Rhythms of Ireland and Flames of the Dance, touring extensively all over Europe, Asia, The Middle East, Russia, America, Australia and New Zealand. As well as holding lead position, Deirdra also held the title of Dance Captain for each of these shows. this mainly consisted of taking all dancers daily for drills and warm-ups before shows and making sure all dancers were in tip-top condition. In recent years, Deirdra has preformed with well known bands such as The Chieftans and Solas and currently preforms with the world famous Kilfenora Ceilí band. In 201
