The castle is located in Bavaria, near the town of Fussen. It became the prototype for the Sleeping Beauty castle in Disneyland Paris and a source of inspiration for Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Swan Lake“. At the foot of a hill, just a couple kilometres away, there is another great landmark, St. Coloman Church.
