Modeling a Hi-Res Katana in Blender - Part 1

This is part one of a three part live stream devoted to showing the entire process for modeling the details on a hi-res katana sword. I go over my conceptual process and how I think about approaching a modeling project. Then I jump into Blender and block in some simple geometry and start to refine with the subdivision surface modifier. It’s my first ever live stream so be gentle guys. ;-) Part 2 will cover detailing with the subsurf modifier and also how to go about doing the cord wrapping on the handle.
