This version of this Uzbeki men’s dance was performed as part of EDT’s Beyond the Crescent Moon show that debuted in the Fall of 2006 in Minneapolis, MN. In this traditional men’s dance that recalls the Central Asian steppe, the men challenge each other around a campfire after the day’s travel or shepherding work is done.
