Detective games are secretly one of my favorite genres. Though I am not the biggest fan of point and click titles, the real time detective games out there are some of the finest story driven adventure games one can experience. Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper might be my favorite in the series, because of the source material. I love all games, stories and movies involving Jack the Ripper. From the Michael Caine adaptation to Johnny Depp’s From Hell or the Assassin’s Creed DLC with Jack The Ripper. This Sherlock Holmes adventure brings us to the district of Whitechapel as we try to unravel the myseries and horrifying things that occur here throughout the fall of 1888. The fun thing about this particular game compared to Awakened is that you actually feel like you explore a living, breathing enviroment with lots of npcs and characters roaming around. Whitechapel feels alive and it’s such a joy to put on your detective’s hat and start exploring, questioning people and solving mysteries!
