BREAKING: Tesla signs deal with Shanghai govt to build new Megafactory & produce Megapack batteries

Tesla has signed a deal on Sunday with Shanghai’s Lingang Special Area to build its first overseas Megafactory, which will produce Megapack batteries, a product mainly built for charging facilities. Construction for the plant is expected to start in Q3 2023, and Tesla aims to start production in Q2 2024.
