Heard Right - Hidden

Following an array of individual releases on Purified Records, Turkish producer CEAUS and production duo Heard Right team up for a collaborative EP titled ‘Nova’. The title track glistens with delicate synth work and serene vocals, and is pushed along by deep basslines. Fusing melodic and progressive sounds, Heard Right delivers a second offering in the shape of ‘Hidden’ to complete the two-track EP. The ‘Nova’ EP artwork features a photograph of a jellyfish, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Jellyfish are gelatinous marine creatures belonging to the phylum Cnidaria. They come in various shapes and sizes, with umbrella-shaped bells and trailing tentacles. These tentacles contain specialized cells called nematocysts, which are used for prey capture and defense. Jellyfish are found in oceans worldwide, from surface waters to the deep sea. While some species are harmless, others can deliver painful stings to humans. The Turritopsis dohrnii, also known as the “immortal jellyfish,“ is capable of reverting its cells back to their earliest form, effectively reversing aging and potentially achieving biological immortality. Lack of comprehensive data makes it challenging to assess the conservation status of most jellyfish species according to the IUCN Red List. Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers.
