Once we start selling the Zeta 2 computer, it will come with CP/M operating system. Star Trek is one of our favorite games, and using a Propeller-based terminal will allow us to have color and some graphics. A couple years ago, I built a clone of Briel Computer’s Altair 8800 Micro (Briel’s schematic and firmware, but with my own design circuit boards.) This computer also runs CP/M, and uses a Parallax Propeller based terminal as well. Therefore, software is compatible between both machines.
This version of Star Trek is (I believe) based of of one that came in David Ahl’s BASIC Computer Games books- but then modded by Vince Briel to have color and some animation. This video was both to show off this neat computer, and awesome version of Star Trek, but also to show my buddy Costas the graphics/animation in the game. Costas has built a Zeta 2, but has noticed that this version does not yet run on that computer (at least the compiled version doesn’t run).. Perhaps it is just a diffe
