Tomb Raider 1996 Tribute (Dean Kopri) collab with Keith Byrne

Yaaay! 24th of October - it’s my birthday!!! And tomorrow is the 26th anniversary of Tomb raider 1, so I think this is the perfect timing to be sharing this collaboration with fantastic artist Keith Byrne! Also, 👉 👈consider supporting my work by buying me a coffee What to say about this one? I wanted the opening to be more dreamy than the exact copy/paste of the main theme. I wanted it to slowly ease in like you are remembering something that happened a long time ago (1996?). From there, I’ve used motifs from the opening FMV with a fast cut to the “Time to run“ sequence. For this part, I used more percussion and a big orchestra to make it more action-sounding and dangerous. Slowing things down with “A long way down“ with added piano, and a bit different arrangement. “Longing for home“ is where I added more layers of the instruments than there are in the original track.
