14 years ago today we were chasing the heart of a massive multi-day tornado outbreak on May 5, 2007, working an initial cluster of supercells that produced brief tornadoes before double back to the main event with strong-violent tornadoes produced from Sweetwater OK area through Kiowa County, Kansas. On the day before, an EF5 tornado tore through Greensburg, Kansas causing 11 fatalities and completely decimating the entire town. 129 tornadoes were confirmed during the May 4-6, 2007 outbreak.
