Military takes power in Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi detained

Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other senior figures from the ruling party have been detained in an early morning raid. The military declares a state of emergency following days of escalating tension between the civilian government and the powerful military, which claims the November election was tainted by fraud.
