Gatka is a martial art which is native to the state of Punjab. It is learned and performed in the form of a dance with various props and colourful costumes. The music that accompanies this dance is based on historical stories of bravery of the Sikh leaders who led their people and protected them from various atrocities. This song describes one such story which is the story of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of the Sikhs who was one of the bravest warriors and leaders in the history of the country.
