Explore the DUST Multiverse on our App: In the future city of Submittan, people over 80 years old are forced into ’retirement’ to a remote mountain area, as the city deals with increased population. The burden falls on the shoulder of an immigrant artist, who is tasked to design a propaganda poster to convince citizens of this new registration. “Submittan“ by Susumu Kimura Connect with the Filmmaker: More About “Submittan“: SUBMITTAN is a story of Chase, a Japanese immigrant graphic designer and a single mother of two daughters, living in a future city called Submittan. She struggles to put food on the table, pay her rent, and find decent work. When an opportunity arises to enter a poster design competition for an ad agency, she jumps at the chance. With her finished poster in hand, Chase goes to a job interview. However deep inside, something is brewing; she knows what this poster implies, and how bad it is for the future of certain groups. Will she be able to realize her immoral decision and choose wisely? Or will she have to sacrifice her principles for her family’s survival? When the truth is revealed, she cannot escape what happens. “Submittan“ Credits: CAST Chase - Mia Ando Greta - Momoka Takahashi Hannah - Xiaowan Jin Mary - Becky Brown Dan - Kevin Edward Miller Molly - Molly Flanagan Derek - Rey Marz Old Man #1 - Rigg Kennedy Old Man #2 - Joseph Lopez Suit #1 - Ryan Lee Perkins Suit #2 - Jose Ramirez Hernandez Bus Commuters - Art Arutyunyan, Dan Dore, James Inez, Christian Lee Kelly, Jessica Ellen King, Jazmin Ortiz, Harv Popic, Bailee Bob Sveen Office Workers - Aida Arutyunyan, Art Arutyunyan, Danielle Dellaporta, Alix Juls James, Kaitlyn Lavo, Danice Page, Michael Pina Train Detainees - Lindsay Aichinger, Linda Dee Finn, Philip Kuretski, William McCarthy, Kurt Ulbrich Bus Announcer - Calum Perry CREW Writer/Director/Editor - Susumu Kimura Producers - Cameron Mitchell, Sandra E.
