Maximus Kills Commodus | Gladiator | All Action

Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) challenges Maximus (Russell Crowe) in combat in the hopes of killing him himself, but Maximus is simply too proficient in battle and ends up killing Commodus. Gladiator (2000) Commodus takes over power and demotes Maximus, one of the preferred generals of his father, Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
