Adjustable height workbench designed by OpenDesk using Amana Tool® Compression Spiral CNC Router Bits and Aluminum Laminate Flush Trimming Spiral Router Bits.
Designed by Joni Steiner & Nick Ierodiaconou from Opendesk, Lift Standing Desk is built using 3/4” thick, 11-Ply Baltic Birch and 1/16“ thick Aluminum Laminate. The laminate will be applied to the desktop and then flush trimmed to size using a hand held trimmer router.
Our CNC machinist uses Amana Tool’s solid carbide CNC router bits no’s 46227 and 46170 in a Shop Sabre 4896 CNC Machine to make all of the plywood cuts. For trimming the aluminum laminate, he turned to Amana Tool no. 51430. This InVectra™ Series, solid carbide spiral router bit is designed and tested for trimming all aluminum laminate and is recommended by Formica® & ATI®.
