World Rally Championship 1999 - Rallye Catalunya Costa Brava - Citron Xsara Kit Car.

A very successful rally car which emerged victorious overall in the Championship of France & Spain, having won more than half of the races held during 1998, 1999 and 2001 seasons. Built in accordance with FIA Kit Car F2 regulations, the car featured front-wheel drive, 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine with power output of 295 horse power. The Kit Cars, which were supposed to be inferior in comparison to the all-wheel drive World Rally Cars, dominated in asphalt rallies. The great weight/power ratio, accompanied by the good condition of the road surface as well as favorable weather conditions, made the Kit Cars prevail over their rivals.
