My new and improved recipe for vegan Philadelphia Cream Cheese!
INGREDIENTS:
250g firm tofu I have used firm tofu)
2 tablespoons vegan butter
3 tablespoons unsweetened cashew or almond vegan yogurt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
salt, to taste
1/5 tsp white pepper (a pinch)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
3 tablespoons unsweetened vegan cream I have used oats)
METHOD:
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend very well until very smooth; if you think your cream cheese is too hard, add a bit more vegan yogurt or cream, just bear in mind it could take time to blend, and you probably will have to open the blender and scrape the sides from time to time.
Add the blended cream cheese to a clean and sterilized lidded container, close it, and put it in the fridge. Lasts for up to a week.
