Performance of a newly-discovered 10th century organum

Following the discovery of the earliest known example of polyphonic music intended for practical use, by PhD student Giovanni Varelli, here is an example of how it might have sounded. The piece is performed by Quintin Beer and John Clapham — both music undergraduates at St John’s College, Cambridge. The film was shot by Ryan Cronin. #СтариннаяМузыкаБароккоКлассицизм_Новости
