VST image of the Fornax Galaxy Cluster

The Fornax Galaxy Cluster is one of the closest of such groupings beyond our Local Group of galaxies. This pan sequence, based on a new VLT Survey Telescope image, shows the central part of the cluster in great detail. The field includes the elegant barred-spiral galaxy NGC 1365 and the big elliptical galaxy NGC 1399. More information and download options: Credit: ESO.
