Gems of the Scottish Baroque: James Oswald’s “The Honeysuckle“

This recording of James Oswald’s “The Honeysuckle“ from our 2021 project, “Caledonia to the Capital“, supported by a generous grant from the Continuo Foundation. At the centre of the programme was the Fife-born Scottish composer James Oswald (1710-1769): the Honeysuckle is from his first collection of “Airs for the Autumn“ - one of 96 Airs for the Seasons Oswald wrote, each one named after a flower or a plant!
