China: Homes shake and dozens injured as 7.0 magnitude earthquake hits Xinjiang region

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake has caused extensive damage in China’s western Xinjiang region. Despite the strength of the quake, just six people were injured in the sparsely populated area. The earthquake hit the Uchturpan county in the Aksu prefecture in the early hours of the morning.
