1942 Martin 00-18, Mahogany/Adirondack Spruce

A gorgeous example of an early 40s Martin, this 00-18 comes to us from 1942 specifically, and is in excellent playing shape today in 2023. The Mahogany/Adirondack Spruce combo is a timeless classic for a reason–powerful and quick and clear–and with so many decades of opening up and drying out they’re even better. Slightly slim neck feel in hand, a few light marks making it feel like shaking hands with an old friend. It’s so lightweight it practically floats. It’s had all the necessary maintenance taken care of, with a recent neck reset and fret dress. Tuners, bridge, and pins have been replaced; finish has signs of typical play wear but appears original, as do the bridge plate and braces. Comes in a new Calton case that fits snug as a bug. All in all, a powerhouse in a petite package, energetic and fun. This 1942 Martin 00-18 is an American classic. @DreamGuitars
