EPIC 2022 Russian Military Mobilization song Lets Go! - В Путь! On 21 September 2022, seven months into the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia declared a partial mobilization of military reservists. The decision was made a day after the announcement of the Russian annexation of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The announcement of mobilization was seen as a significant escalation of Russia’s military efforts in the war with Ukraine. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Russia had a “huge mobilization reserve“ and planned to mobilize 300,000 recruits.
