Fighting with Greatsword in Armour

Last Sunday I had the pleasure to join a few friends for armoured fencing at castle Teylingen (video to come very soon), and I took the opportunity to shoot some footaga of me doing some greatsword in armour as well. My previous attempts at this were a bit disappointing to be fair, and I think that’s largely down to something I have since realised: crossing your arms while moving with a greatsword is perfectly fine, until you have a breastplate. To counteract this, you can of course do all the cuts from your off-hand side with the short edge, or engage the body more by shifting your weight back at the end of a cut.
