The Foreshadowing | The Forsaken Son (Twilight Revival)
Taken from their latest EP “Forsaken Songs“ out now via Ardua Music.
Order at:
Originally included in “Second World“, Italian gothic doom authority The Foreshadowing give us a newly recorded acoustic version of “The Forsaken Son“. Band would comment: “We wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ’Second World’ by taking a song from the album and reinterpreting it in an intimate and unique way. What better choice than the title-inspiring track of the EP?“

LYRICS
Got lost in a while
And later we felt alright
We got back together
To destroy the night
We don’t play for nothing
And nothing’s left inside the grave
We needed to fly
From the rest of the world
Here’s no heaven
And always, and always feeling
Shame and failure
Forever and ever, empty souls of nothing
And feeling a pleasant urge to fly
To fly away.
Your mothers and fathers
Will point the finger on your choice
And make you believe
You’re the shame of the world
Here’s no heaven
And always, and always feeling
Shame and failure
Forever and ever, empty souls of nothing
And feeling a pleasant urge to fly
To fly away.
