Liftoff from pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is scheduled for 5:47 p.m. EDT (2147 UTC) on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The first-stage booster will land on a SpaceX drone ship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, a little more than eight minutes into the flight.
The mission, designated Starlink 6-61, will be the 68th launch of Starlink satellites and the 99th flight of a Falcon 9 rocket this year. The Falcon 9 will head away from Cape Canaveral on a south-east trajectory.
Commentary will be provided by Spaceflight Now’s Will Robinson-Smith, starting approximately an hour prior to liftoff.
