After the death of her husband, rocket scientist and occultist Jack Parsons, Cameron became an icon of the Beat Scene in Los Angeles. Kenneth Anger cast her as TheScarlet Woman in his underground masterpiece “Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome.“ Many thought her a witch.
