We’re celebrating the start of International Trombone Week 2022 by premiering this very special collaboration with jazz trombone virtuoso, composer, and arranger, Wycliffe Gordon! We are honored to have Mr. Gordon join the Airmen of Note for the second installment of the 2022 Jazz Heritage Series. Mr. Gordon is a prolific recording artist and is popular for his unmatched signature sound, plunger technique, and unique vocals. This chart features two tracks from his original score, “Within These Gates of Mine.” Mr. Gordon blended “We’re Still Here” and “He’s Alright,” into one outstanding gospel jazz feature and is prominently featured on trombone and vocals.
